X-ALE
is a talented vocal group hailing from the
parish of St. Mary, located in the beautiful island of Jamaica. The group
has been singing together for approximately five (5) years, although the
members (namely Shaun Henry-Silk, Dwayne Cameron-Mr. Leather, Omar Brown-Mr.
Smooth & Clive Bryan-Singing Satin), have known each other for over
fifteen years.

Silk [Top right] the group leader is a computer technician who was
raised in St. Mary and attended the Islington Secondary School (now high)
and Excelsior Community College. His local mentors are Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond and Sanchez.
Mr. Leather
[Bottom right]
is a pass student of the St. Mary’s High School and is an
accomplished cricketer and artist. Boys II Men, Brian McKnight and Kevon
Edmonds are acts he used to emulate as a child and now can easily imitate
any of them!
Mr. Smooth
[Bottom left]
as the name suggests, is the man with the smooth, sultry voice!
A former footballer for Albany United, located in
St. Mary. As one of the main writers of the group, his hands are always busy
with the pen.
Singing Satin.
. . [Top left] the laid back or ‘quiet’ man of the group is the younger brother of
the late DJ Panhead. This singer/electronics technician is
determined, through X-ALE, to continue his big brother success.
X-ALE
is no stranger to the cabaret scene performing regularly on Jamaica’s
north coast hotel scene. Known as Jamaica’s answer to “The Temptations” or
“Manhattans”, they have graced properties such as Couples Ocho Rios,
Breezes Montego Bay, Beaches Royal Caribbean, Sunset Beach Resort &
Trelawney Beach Hotel (now Starfish), just to name a few.
R & B to Reggae to hardcore dancehall and
they have the ability to “excel” in any of these genres of music! This
relatively new group has made appearances on National Television stations
including personal interviews on popular radio stations. X-ALE are two
time Grand finalists in the islands longest running talent competitions.
Tastee Talent Competition, Versatility is one of X-ALES’
noticeable attributes, and because of this, the group has also been
opening acts of the very successful Heineken Star time series, sharing the
stage with some of the legends of Reggae today such as: John Holt, George
Nooks, Ken Booth, The mighty Diamonds & Derrick Morgan... and the list
goes on!
On the Dancehall scene, X-ALE is
also very creative, with their energetic, unique style of fusing
harmonious melodies with hardcore lyrics. Their latest single entitled,
“Love how we sound” on the Shocking Vibes Production, 9/11 rhythm, is a
positive, catchy song sweet melodies. Their songs are pleasing to the ear
and with songs like “Always” and “Give Me Some”; the group has the ability
to adapt to various international styles of music!
X-ALE
have recently been ‘discovered’ by Shocking Vibes Productions) bare, which
are responsible for the careers of musical greats like Beenie Man, Tonto
Metro & Devonte, Little Kirk and a host of other established artistes, so
this very talented quartet aims to be the next generation of superstars &
with help from GOD, their continued hard work and dedication and with the
support of the people who listen their songs...it is destined to become a
reality
